Position Overview
The British Butler Institute has been instructed to recruit an experienced Butler for a prestigious private villa in the Cook Islands.
This is a high-end private residence environment requiring an individual with strong front-of-house presence, refined service skills, and the ability to deliver seamless guest experiences within a luxury setting.
The successful candidate will be discreet, highly professional, and confident in delivering traditional butler service standards while supporting the overall operation of a luxury villa estate.
Key Responsibilities
Front of House & Guest Services
- Provide professional meet and greet for all guests and visitors.
- Deliver personalised concierge services tailored to guest requirements.
- Manage guest arrivals and departures with efficiency and discretion.
- Maintain a polished and welcoming front-of-house presence at all times.
Transport & Guest Coordination
- Coordinate and execute guest pick-ups and drop-offs, including:
- Ferry terminal transfers
- Private airstrip arrivals and departures
- Ensure all guest transportation is smooth, timely, and professionally managed.
Butler Duties
- Deliver traditional butler services within a private villa environment.
- Anticipate guest needs and ensure exceptional levels of service.
- Maintain discretion, privacy, and professionalism at all times.
- Support daily operational requirements of the residence.
General Household Support
- Assist in the smooth running of the villa operation.
- Ensure all guest-facing areas are maintained to the highest standards.
- Work collaboratively with other staff and service providers.
- Uphold luxury hospitality standards throughout the property.
Candidate Requirements
Essential
- Proven experience as a Butler or in a senior luxury hospitality role.
- Strong front-of-house, concierge, and guest relations experience.
- Excellent communication skills and professional presentation.
- Full driving licence and confidence in guest transport duties.
- Ability to work live-in on a flexible 45-hour week schedule.
- High level of discretion and confidentiality.
Desirable
- Experience within private villas, estates, or luxury resorts.
- Exposure to high-net-worth individuals and VIP guests.
- Strong understanding of luxury service standards.
