Position Overview
An experienced and highly professional Chauffeur / Butler is required for a semi-formal private residence. This is a varied, hands-on role combining luxury driving duties with butler and household support responsibilities.
The successful candidate will work closely with existing staff to ensure the smooth running of the residence, maintaining consistently high standards across all areas of service, presentation, and logistics.
Flexibility, discretion, and a service-driven mindset are essential.
Key Responsibilities
Chauffeur Duties
- Provide daily driving services for the Principal (business, social, and personal travel).
- Ensure safe, punctual, and discreet transportation at all times.
- Maintain vehicles to impeccable standards, including:
- Cleaning and detailing
- Service scheduling
- General upkeep and presentation
- Manage route planning and travel logistics.
Butler & Front of House Service
- Provide professional meet and greet for guests and visitors.
- Assist with food and beverage service when required.
- Support formal and informal service within the residence.
- Maintain high presentation and service standards.
Household Support & Operations
- Assist in the day-to-day running of the residence.
- Manage household inventories and replenishment.
- Coordinate scheduling of maintenance, trades, and external vendors.
- Support interior and exterior upkeep and general efficiency of the property.
Events & Lifestyle Support
- Assist with event planning, catering coordination, décor, and floral arrangements.
- Support execution of private functions and gatherings.
- Ensure smooth preparation and delivery of events.
General Duties
- Receive guests and support front-of-house operations.
- Assist with installations and household operational needs.
- Maintain care of fine finishes, furnishings, and artwork.
Candidate Requirements
Essential
- Proven experience in private service as a Chauffeur and/or Butler.
- Excellent driving skills with a clean, valid driver’s licence.
- Strong front-of-house and guest service experience.
- High level of flexibility and availability.
- Strong time management, punctuality, and multitasking ability.
- Non-smoker.
Desirable
- Experience working in luxury private households.
- Knowledge of fine furnishings, art care, and high-value interiors.
- Event coordination or hospitality experience.
