Position Overview
An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an experienced Head Butler to join a prestigious luxury private residence in London.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management of the household service operation, ensuring the highest standards of presentation, hospitality, and organisation are consistently delivered.
This role requires a highly experienced professional with strong leadership ability, formal butler training, and a proven background in luxury residential environments.
Key Responsibilities
Household Management
- Oversee the day-to-day running of the private residence.
- Ensure all household operations are maintained to luxury standards.
- Establish and maintain a comprehensive household manual.
Food & Beverage Service
- Deliver food and beverage service to the highest standards.
- Manage table settings and formal dining presentation.
- Provide in-room and guest service as required.
Guest Services
- Meet and greet guests and visitors.
- Handle telephone messages and guest communication.
- Ensure seamless hospitality experience for principals and visitors.
Household Operations & Logistics
- Manage household inventories and stock control.
- Liaise with the chauffeur and coordinate transport needs.
- Schedule and manage contractors and external service providers.
- Oversee care and maintenance of pool and spa facilities.
Housekeeping Support
- Assist housekeeping staff when required.
- Ensure high standards of cleanliness and presentation across the residence.
- Maintain specialist care for fine finishes including marble, gold fixtures, and luxury surfaces.
Administration & Travel
- Organise and coordinate overseas travel arrangements.
- Support principals across multiple international residences when required.
Concierge & Lifestyle Support
- Provide concierge services and local knowledge of London.
- Assist with lifestyle management and personal arrangements.
Candidate Requirements
Essential
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a luxury private residence environment.
- Recognised formal Butler qualification.
- Strong food and beverage service experience.
- Excellent time management, organisation, and multitasking skills.
- Valid driving licence with clean record.
- Eligible to work in the UK.
- CRB/DBS checked.
- Fluent English (Russian language advantageous).
Desirable
- Experience working for UHNW households or diplomatic environments.
- International travel experience supporting principals.
- Strong knowledge of luxury household systems and service protocols.
