Position Overview
An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an experienced Head Butler to join a luxury hotel environment, leading the butler and guest services function within a high-end property.
The Head Butler will be responsible for setting and maintaining the highest standards of personalised guest service, ensuring seamless coordination across front-of-house operations, and delivering an exceptional luxury hospitality experience at all times.
This is a senior leadership role requiring strong operational expertise, attention to detail, and a refined understanding of formal service standards.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, train, and supervise the butler and front-of-house team.
- Set service standards and ensure consistent five-star delivery.
- Conduct training and performance development for junior staff.
- Coordinate closely with hotel management and department heads.
Guest Services & Experience
- Provide a personalised butler service to VIP guests and suites.
- Ensure seamless meet and greet, check-in, and in-room guest experience.
- Anticipate guest needs and deliver proactive service solutions.
- Handle VIP arrivals, departures, and bespoke guest requests.
Service Delivery
- Oversee formal and informal dining service standards.
- Ensure room service, turndown, and guest amenities are delivered flawlessly.
- Maintain guest privacy, discretion, and confidentiality at all times.
Operations & Coordination
- Coordinate daily butler operations and task allocation.
- Work closely with housekeeping, F&B, concierge, and front office teams.
- Ensure smooth communication across all guest-facing departments.
Standards & Quality Control
- Maintain impeccable presentation standards throughout guest areas.
- Conduct regular inspections of suites and service areas.
- Uphold luxury hospitality protocols and brand standards.
Candidate Requirements
Essential
- Proven experience as a Butler or Senior Butler in a luxury hotel, estate, or private residence.
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience.
- Strong understanding of formal service and luxury hospitality standards.
- Excellent communication and guest relations skills.
- High level of discretion and professionalism.
Desirable
- Experience within 5-star hotels or ultra-luxury properties.
- Butler training or formal hospitality qualifications.
- International luxury hospitality experience.
